The New Horizons FEW Chapter 409 was established in fiscal year 1999 with new officers installed in December 1999.  The schedule was instituted to meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM to conduct official business. New Horizons became active with the DC Metro Region of FEW and in 2000 started participating annually with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer, National Race for the Cure, and the FEW- National Training Conference (NTP).  New Horizons FEW currently has 67 members.
